The Russian Navy’s corvette “Soobrazitelny” conducted a series of combat training missions in the Baltic Sea, according to the Information and Mass Communication Department of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

During the planned sortie at sea, the crew of the vessel carried out operations for the search, detection, and destruction of a simulated enemy submarine using anti-submarine weapon systems. The underwater target was initially identified using the ship’s sonar, classified, and tracked. Following this, the submarine was conditionally neutralized with torpedo weaponry.

As part of the defense-focused exercises, the crew also practiced air defense measures during navigation, using both electronic and visual camouflage. A multifunctional Su-30 fighter was employed as a simulated air target and, as it approached the engagement range, was virtually shot down by the ship’s defense systems.

Additionally, the “Soobrazitelny” corvette carried out training to generate electronic interference, improve survival capability while in motion, and operate in narrow passage environments. Defensive maneuvers against submarines and underwater sabotage were also conducted, ensuring the crew’s operational readiness in various combat scenarios.
